Feynman's Technique

  • This technique encourages breaking down complicated reasoning into simple terms

  • Action points:

    • Identify the subject - brain dump everything you know

    • Explain it to a 12 year old - short and simple

    • Fill in the gaps - go back and update your notes with the items you found difficult to explain or explained in too much of a complicated manner

    • Organise the information and go again

  • This method allows you to continue learning deeply and lets the learning sink in

  • Usually used as a technique to learn faster or prepare for exams - it forces you to understanding the principles, creating a strong foundation where knowledge and understanding can build upon
